Great State talks presents: Martin Parr
'Exploring the commercial value of authenticity'
We are delighted to announce that Martin Parr, renowned British photographer, will be talking about his artistic and commercial work at our next Great State talks on 28 November. To mark this special occasion, we are opening the invitation up to the wider digital brand and creative communities in Bristol, so please come along and share in the conversation.
In addition, Great State’s Creative Directors, Jack Ashdown and Nick Horne will discuss the value of authenticity for brands.
The opening of The Martin Parr Foundation at Paintworks in Bristol, where Great State has our head office, marks a renaissance of creative activity in the city.
Martin says ‘Post-war British documentary photography continues to be underappreciated and I wanted to make a small contribution to rectify this. The Martin Parr Foundation will support and preserve the legacy of photographers who made, and continue to make, important work focused on the British Isles.’
Tickets are free, suggested £5 donation to the Martin Parr Foundation
